What is Any Place From Space?

Any Place From Space offers custom satellite imagery of meaningful locations around the world captured during memorable times. Whether it’s where and when you got engaged, your hometown on your birthday, a favorite vacation spot, your favorite lake on the Fourth of July, or any other treasured landscape, we turn satellite data into stunning digital art prints.

What kind of images do you use?

We currently use imagery from the European Space Agency's Copernicus Sentinel-2 satellites, processed to create true-color, natural-looking scenes. In the future, we plan to expand to include (1) other band combinations (black and white, false color composites, etc.) and (2) other sources of satellite imagery—stay tuned!

How do I order a custom image?

Simply provide a location (you can draw a box on a map), and a date that’s meaningful to you. We’ll process a high-resolution image and send you a digital download. You can also opt to have your image printed, framed, and shipped.

Can I preview the image before buying?

For custom requests, we will send you a low-resolution preview before finalizing the order. For existing images, previews are available in our online gallery.

How long does it take to receive my image?

Digital downloads: 1–3 business days

Framed prints: 7–14 business days (includes processing and shipping)

What file format will I receive?

Digital downloads are delivered in high-resolution GeoTIFF format, suitable for printing up to 24"x36". If you need a different format, just let us know.

Can I add labels, dates, or custom text to the image?

Yes! We can add custom titles, place names, or dates to your image upon request.

What does the final printed product look like?

We offer digital prints that can be downloaded immediately, and high-quality prints on archival paper, with optional framing and matting in a variety of sizes and finishes. Framing is handled through a professional print-on-demand partner.

How is this different from other providers?

There are many great options for browsing satellite imagery, but we didn’t find any that provide print-quality, date-specific images for art or gifts. Our goal was to create an easy button for users to create artwork to hang on the wall of their lake cabin, or as a housewarming gift. Our service gives you control over the date and framing, with artistic enhancements that make your location shine.

Returns & Refunds

Q: Do you accept returns or refunds on digital downloads?
A: Due to the nature of digital products, all digital downloads are final sale and non-refundable once delivered.

Q: What is your return policy for physical prints?
A: Our physical prints are made to order and we do not accept returns or exchanges. If your item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and we will arrange a replacement or refund.

Q: What if my framed print arrives damaged?
A: If your framed print arrives damaged, please email us within 7 days of delivery with photos of the damage. We’ll work with our print partner to send a replacement or issue a refund.

Q: Can I cancel or change my order after placing it?
A: Orders are processed quickly and cannot be changed or canceled once production has started. Please double-check your order details before completing your purchase.
